IMPORTANT AFDA Board Statement

Aug 18, 2022 | News & Announcements

AFDA spokesperson Chad Gallagher released the following statement from the board regarding today’s disturbing news story about human remains:

“The Arkansas Funeral Directors Association is horrified to learn of human body parts being brokered and sold, most assuredly without the knowledge of grieving family members. Members of the funeral profession work around the clock to serve our communities with love and care at their most vulnerable moments. Circumstances like this are an offense that anger us all. We are thankful this has been exposed and fully support the revocation of license for those involved and full criminal prosecution where applicable.”

AFDA will continue to vigilantly support its members in their upstanding and ethical care of Arkansans and our communities.
