Dear Friends,
Please see below the Association’s statement on the most recent development in the Jacksonville case. AFDA is watching this case closely and is committed to helping funeral homes maintain the highest standards. Our association also believes that industry outliers with low standards and poor service reflect poorly on all of us and we must work together as a profession to ensure these types of operations do not happen in Arkansas. Please see our statement below and the latest update on the case if you haven’t followed it. Never hesitate to call on AFDA. We are stronger together and the association is here to help.
“The Arkansas Funeral Directors Association is watching this case closely. As the state’s professional organization for funeral homes we think it is crucial that every individual serving in our profession is held to the highest standard—a standard equal to the significant trust Arkansas families have extended to us at the time of their greatest need. We strongly believe that any rogue operator who violates the sacred trusts of families served should be removed from the industry and those who violate the law should be prosecuted to its maximum extent. Our members will continue to earn the trust of Arkansans and serve our communities with dignity and respect.” President Don Martin, Springdale
