November 2, 1924 – December 3, 2007Charles Ray Miller, age 83 of Nashville, Arkansas, formerly of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, December 3, 2007 in Nashville. He was born November 2, 1924 in Newark, Arkansas to the late Earl C. and Mattie Lou Cooper Miller. Mr. Miller is a Church of Christ Preacher and a member of the Sunset Church of Christ congregation. He had lived in Nashville for the past 4 years. He also was a Boy Scout Leader for over 50 years, receiving the Honorary Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of the Rector and Piggott Chamber of Commerce, the Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, Civitan Club and the Band Parents organization. Also he had beay en a member of other clubs and organizations to numerous to name.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his first wife, Theda Cleffie Miller on October 16, 2002.
Survivors include: His wife, Eva Floyd Green Miller of Nashville, Arkansas 4 sons, C. Robin Miller of Searcy, Arkansas Cleon Green of Nashville Floyd Green of Nashville Alan Green of Nashville 1 Daughter, LaDonna Curtis of Nashville
2 Brothers, J. Hale Miller of Boise, Idaho Mabrey Lee Miller of York, Nebraska 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren
1 Brother-in-law, Harvey Robins of Searcy, Arkansas 1 Sister-in-law, Odean Reynolds of Nashville, Arkansas
And a host of other family and friends to numerous to name.
Services will be Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 7 pm. at Sunset Church of Christ in Nashville with David Williams, Cleon Green and C. Robin Miller officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:30 am at Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat, Arkansas. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 5:30 until service time at the Church.
