Louis R. Camp

November 18, 2007

Louis R. “Lou” Camp, age 87 died on November 18, 2007. Born and raised in Elmer he lived in Pitman for over 60 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran, serving in the Panama Canal. He worked for Atlantic City Electric and retired in 1982 after 36 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Barnsboro, IBEW Local #210 and the American Legion Elwood Kindle Post #49. Lou was an avid glass collector and member of the Heritage Bottle Club of Glassboro. His collection includes many old Clevenger Glass from Clayton.

Survived by his wife of 65 years Edith A. (nee Langley), children Kenneth (Fran) of Batesville, IN, Marion (Donald) Smith of Ashburn, VA, Barbara (Joe) Price of Pittsgrove, NJ, sisters Dorothy Trapani of Buena, Milly Seeman of Williamstown, brother John Camp of Millville, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 27 after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Interment Porchtown United Methodist Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 125 Barnsboro Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080 or to charity of choice.

Please keep Ken, his mother Edith, sisters Barbara and Marion, and the entire Camp family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and holiday season.
