The findings of the Arkansas Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors is shocking and disturbing. First and foremost, the caring and loving funeral professionals of Arkansas feel a great deal of sympathy for the families involved and our member funeral homes are ready to assist.

The Arkansas Funeral Directors Association also supports the Board's decision to suspend the license of this provider. However, It is important to understand that the vast majority of funeral homes in Arkansas are conducting business in the right way - with respect and honor for the deceased and the families. Our members strive to meet and, when possible, exceed industry standards and the Code of Professional Conduct established by the National Association of Funeral Directors. As with any industry, there are some bad actors but in no way should one isolated incident be a reflection on an entire industry of responsible and caring funeral directors.
