It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. On behalf of the Arkansas Funeral Director’s Association, we hope that you will consider renewing your membership into the association. The AFDA Board of Directors has been and will continue to be active in enhancing the benefits of membership. We have made changes to the format of the Annual Convention, which had led to the largest attendance in about 10 years. We will continue offering pertinent educational opportunities in many locations around the state with the AFDA Road Show and during the annual convention. The scholarship program has been simplified to make the process of applying much easier. These are just a few of the things being done in an effort to provide you real value in an AFDA membership.
As President of the Association, I feel it is imperative for us to continue rebuilding relationships that have become distant in the past and furthering existing relationships. Although times are changing quickly, one thing remains constant; that is the fact that our profession is one built on relationships. We must build relationships with the families we serve in order to gain their trust. The same holds true for us as professionals. In order for us to be of better service to our client families and to our calling as funeral directors, we must first practice this within our professional network. That is, and always has been, one of the biggest member benefits of our Association.
Please rejoin us in our efforts to make a positive impact on our profession. Your input is valuable and we hope to have you with us making a difference in the funeral industry.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at (501) 687-9860 (the office of Brent Stevenson Associates, which is the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association’s professional management firm).
We look forward to having you as a member.
President, Arkansas Funeral Directors Association
