Jack "Randy" Lemley

July 13, 1941 - September 27, 2009

Jack R. “Randy” Lemley, 68, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at his home in Atkins. He was born July 13, 1941, in Morrilton, the son of Jack Randolph Sr. and Faye McDaniel Lemley. He was a sales representative for Matthews Casket Co. and previously Batesville Casket Co. Randy had been a partner with his father in Lemley Furniture Company and Lemley Funeral Service and was a longtime licensed funeral director. He served in the Arkansas Air National Guard and was a volunteer fireman and scoutmaster of Atkins Boy Scout Troop No. 228. Randy dearly loved his family, his friends and the great outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Leigh Lemley Pitts and her husband, David; brother, James W. Lemley and his wife, Annette; two grandchildren, Jacob Pitts and Mia Faye Pitts, all of Atkins; and nephew, Chris Lemley of Conway.  Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Lemley Funeral Chapel with Brian Carrol and Glenn Dunn officiating.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Atkins Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.

Pallbearers are Larry Lingle, Carl Rackley, Joel Lewis, Tim Byler, R.W. Ocker Sr., Charles Henry, Bill Austin, Terry Owens and Steve Lemley.
