Max E. Lough

October 12, 1940 - January 12, 2010

Max E. Lough , 69 of Cody, Wyoming, died Tuesday January 12, at his home. He was born October 12, 1940 in Lanagan, Missouri to Hood G. and Ruby Truitt Lough. He graduated from Rogers High School in the class of 1958. He worked in the funeral service for 42 years and was co owner of Callison-Lough Funeral Home for 18 years before retiring to Cody.

He was a member of Cody Elks Lodge #1611, Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles – Aerie # 818, past board member & president of the International Order of the Golden Rule, Past board member & president of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, Past president of Northwest Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, Past board member of Arkansas Board of Embalmers & Funeral Directors. Past member of Rogers Noon Rotary for 23 years and attended the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Max E. Lough II. Survivors include his wife Betty Lough of the home, two daughters Terri Lough Harkins and Toni Lough both of Rogers, Ar., one sister; Janeece Smith of Cody Wyoming, three granddaughters; Stephanie Lough of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Samantha Harkins of Mesa, Az. and Jacqui Samnarco of Rogers, Ar., one grandson Chase Lough of Rogers, Ar., two Nieces and four Gt. Nieces, One uncle ; Leonard Truitt of Decatur, Ar.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday January 19, 2010 at 2:00 at the Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Rogers with Rev. N Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial.
