Funeral Science Director

Description:

Arkansas State University - Mountain Home is seeking to appoint a new Director of Funeral Science, who will serve as both an instructor and program director. In addition to the duties in this job description, the Funeral Science Instructor job description applies. The director of the Funeral Science Program is responsible for the continued development, implementation, promotion, and daily operation of both the traditional and distance education components of the program. Minimum qualifications include bachelor's degree with the ability to complete a master's degree within five years of the hire date, a current funeral director/embalmer license, and a graduate of an institution of Funeral Service Education accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education. Ten years experience as a licensed funeral director/embalmer and three years of traditional and/or teaching at the community college level is preferred.

Compensation includes an annual salary commensurate with background and experience, and a comprehensive benefits and leave package. Application review will begin Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
