David William Malaby Sr.
David William Malaby Sr. 79 of Texarkana, Texas passed away
Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Texarkana. David was born May 31, 1930 in Texarkana, AR. He was a member of the First United
Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. where he was a member of the New Covenant Sunday School Class. He is the former owner of
East Funeral Home, past presidents of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, Texarkana Lions Club, Texarkana Heart Assoc.,
Four States Fair Assoc., veteran of the United States Air Force, graduate of Southern Methodist University, and a Certified
Public Accountant.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Marylu Malaby of Texarkana; two sons David Malaby, Jr. of
Dallas, TX and Mitchel Malaby, Sr. of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law Crista and Brad Thomas of Texarkana; eight grandchildren
Amanda Malaby of Houston, TX, Mitchel Malaby, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Matthew Malaby and Shannon Malaby both of Texarkana, Madalyn
Malaby and Lucia Malaby both of Dallas, TX, Nelson Thomas and Caroline Thomas both of Texarkana.
Funeral services
will be 2 P.M. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial
will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-6:30
P.M. at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
