Elizabeth Fox Robinson

Elizabeth Fox Robinson, 82, of Pine Bluff, died at home Monday, December
17, 2007. Born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on May 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Spencer and Elizabeth Daniel
Fox. Known as “Betty” to her friends, she was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating
from Pine Bluff High School in 1943. She attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri and graduated from the University
of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1947. She also attended the Juilliard School in New York City in the summer of 1946.
She
married Adam B. Robinson, in Pine Bluff on July 12, 1947, and after a year residing in Dallas, Texas, made her home in Pine
Bluff. They celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary this year.
She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church where she was a past chairman and longtime member of the Music Committee and past member of the Worship Committee.
An accomplished pianist and organist, she was a substitute organist at her church many times. She was a member of Chi Omega
Fraternity, the Hawthorne Book Club, and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Pine Bluff.
Survivors
include her husband; two sons, Adam B. Robinson, Jr., and his wife Anne, Spencer F. Robinson and his wife, Debbie, all of
Pine Bluff; one daughter, Dr. Margaret Robinson Rutherford and her husband, Richard, of Fayetteville; five grandsons, Spencer
F. Robinson, Jr., Daniel C. Robinson, A. Scott Robinson, William S. Robinson, and Robinson Philip Rutherford.
Services
are Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church with the Reverends William Lee
Kinney and Norwood V. Brown, III officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son. The
family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Robinson at 49 Southern Pines. The family requests that memorials take
the form of contributions to the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas Endowment, 701 S. Main Street, Pine Bluff,
Arkansas 71601 or to the First Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, 717 West 32nd, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603
