It in not good for man to be alone so he married his high school sweetheart, the late Hazel Clark. The heart has the capacity to love again and Alberta Smith became his wife "until death do we part". He took great pride in the accomplisments of his wife, Alberta, his daughters, Florida, Linda, Sandra Kay Scott(preceded him in death), Brenda, Constance, Tonya, Falundrus, infant Franeshia(preceded him in death), son Cheundrae and each of his grandchildren. FLOYD has forged a legacy of strengh of character, integrity, self-reliance, commitment to excellence in all that you do,fortified with diligence and hard work.

FLOYD was very affable, well-liked and highly respected in the community by young and old. He love to dine on down-home cooking as many can remember. Everyone loved "Sammy's" joking nature and his ability to make you laugh. No one could pass his porch without him cracking a joke. FLOYD transitioned from labor to reward on February 12, 2012.
